What is asia cup 2008?

The 2008 Asia Cup was the tenth edition of the cricket tournament. It was held in Pakistan from June 24 to July 6, 2008. The tournament featured four teams; Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, and all the matches were played at National Stadium in Karachi.

India reached the final of the tournament by defeating Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in the group stage. Pakistan also reached the final by winning against the same teams. In the final, Pakistan defeated India by 25 runs to win their second Asia Cup title.

Shoaib Malik from Pakistan was named the player of the tournament, and he scored the most runs in the tournament. Ajantha Mendis from Sri Lanka took the most wickets in the tournament. The 2008 Asia Cup was also notable for being the first major cricket tournament held in Pakistan after the country faced a terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in 2009, which caused international teams to avoid touring Pakistan for several years.
